Pastor’s Corner: “Fresh Wind”

Acts 2:2 – And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

Last night during our “Night of Worship,” we were gathered in the foyer praying and singing praises to our sweet Lord Jesus Christ. About halfway through the evening I felt led to open the doors letting in the fresh, cool evening breeze to blow through the church. This happened while we were singing the song:  “Come And Fill Me Up.”

I can feel You flowin’ through me.
Holy Spirit, com’n’ fill me up,
Come and fill me up.
Love’n’ mercy fill my senses.
I am thirsty for Your presence, Lord,
Come and fill me up.

Lord, let Your mercy wash away all of my sin.
Fill me completely with Your love once again.
I need You, I want You, I love Your Presence.
I need You, I want You, I love Your Presence.

I felt the Lord sharing this Word: Although the enemy has attempted to shut down “The Church” (gathering of His children) and the Good News of Jesus Christ, it has had the opposite effect. More people have been saved during this time and joined the celebration of victory! The Lord is now sending a Fresh Wind of His Presence upon His church. This wind of His Holy Spirit will bring about a new level of Cleansing, Healing, & Power – bringing a refreshing and renewal to the weary and burdened. If you are weary and burdened, open the doors of your heart to let in His Fresh Wind. It’s time for spring cleaning!

Paul admonished believers to be “filled with the Spirit” on an ongoing basis (Ephesians 5:18). Like the wind, the Spirit of God blows where He will (John 3:8). And He is always willing to come into your life afresh for new power, fruit, gifts, and guidance. Wind cannot be seen, but its effects can be felt and heard — just like the Holy Spirit. We cannot see Him, but we can feel the effects of His presence and His power.

Psalm 16:11 (NLT) – 11 You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. God’s presence is real, full of love, and completely    transformational. It takes what was broken and brings healing. It takes what was lost and guides us to our rightful place in the Father. It satisfies the weary, brings light to the darkness, and pours out the refreshing rain of God’s love on the driest, deepest parts of the soul. Scripture contains story after story of God coming down to meet God’s children where they are, and your heavenly Father has the same heart for you as he did them. He longs to make the reality of His presence known to you. He longs to refresh you with His nearness.

Lord, bring Your Fresh Wind of cleansing, healing and power upon Your church! In everything, Love Him, Trust Him & Praise Him

In His Grace,
