WHO WE ARE - cornerstone church

We have a passion for Jesus and His purposes in the earth.

Whether you’re hungry or hurt, lonely or lost, full of questions or looking for a home, there’s a place for you here.  No matter where you have been or what you have done, there’s a place for you here

Welcome home

“His House” is not a building – it’s not a program or small group.

It is people that know Jesus’ Love and point the way to Him.

He is Home, His presence.

WHO WE ARE…

We are a House of Prayer

Isaiah 56:7 (NLT) I will bring them to my holy mountain of Jerusalem and will fill them with joy in my house of prayer. I will accept their burnt offerings and sacrifices, because my Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations.

We must get on our knees and seek God passionately together.

Our greatest place of authority, honor and dignity is found on our knees in prayer—that is, in our deep interaction, intimacy and partnership with Jesus. Prayer is the engine and fuel behind every spiritual advancement. When God’s house on the earth is a house of prayer, then God’s house in heaven is busy and powerful in its plans and movements. The more prayer becomes a priority corporately and individually in the lives of believers, the more we hear, see, experience and know God and His presence. The more we know God (intimately and personally); it leads to a life of true worship. When we seek God through prayer, it leads to worship. We are passionate about prayer.

We are a House of Worship

Psalm 96:1-6 (NIV)Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary.

Worship is the natural response to God’s presence. Prayer is worship and worship is prayer. A praying church prays with a singing voice. Their songs are anthems, prophetic declarations and pronouncements of faith. We sing as we pray and we pray as we sing. A praying church believes in the power of words spoken and words sung. We believe God hears all of it and responds to all of us. Worship is much more than singing songs, but it is a lifestyle recognizing and living in God’s presence. When we seek God through prayer and respond to His presence in worship, it leads to salvation and freedom. We are passionate about worship.

We are a House of Freedom

Genesis 28:16-17 (NLT) – 16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I wasn’t even aware of it!” 17 But he was also afraid and said, “What an awesome place this is! It is none other than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven!”

Where God is pursued and sought after (prayer); where God is worshiped, praised and glorified; where the Truth and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed, announced and declared, the Kingdom of God is revealed; Where the Kingdom of God is revealed, Salvation and Freedom always follow. We are passionate about declaring the beautiful Truth and Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are passionate about seeing God’s Kingdom here on earth that brings salvation and freedom for the captives; for those who have never known Jesus and for those who know Jesus but continue to live a life in bondage. God’s whole purpose in sending His precious Son Jesus is that we would be free from sin and death and to live eternally with our heavenly Father.

We are passionate about God’s Freedom through Jesus.

All are invited; all are welcome to “His House”.
