Pastor’s Corner: “REMINDER” Home Work Assignment

Home Work Assignment:

Your Testimony (Living Stones):God’s story in your story. Jesus said,“You will be my witnesses.”(Acts 1:8 NIV).He wants you to tell your story to others. Sharing your testimony is an essential part of your mission on Earth. First, it is unique. There’s no other story just like yours, so only you can share it, and if you don’t, it will be lost forever. You may not be a Bible scholar, but you are the authority on your life, and it’s hard to argue with personal experience.

Remember basics

  1. What your life was like before Christ
  2. How did I realize I needed Jesus?
  3. How did I commit my life to Jesus?
  4. What difference has Jesus made in my life (trusting and following Holy Spirit)? (Work in progress – more testimonies)

1 John 5:11 (NIV) – 11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 1 John 5:10 (NIV) – 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. Psalm 71:15-16 – I will declare your righteousness and your salvation every day, though I do not fully understand what the outcome will be.  Lord God, I will come in the power of your mighty acts, remembering your righteousness—yours alone.” Mark 5:19 (NLT) – 19 But Jesus said, “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.” Psalm 22:22 (TLB) – 22 I will praise you to all my brothers; I will stand up before the congregation and testify of the wonderful things you have done. John 15:26-27 (NLT) – 26 “But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me. 27 And you must also testify about me because you have been with me from the beginning of my ministry.1 John 1:2-3 (NLT) – This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us. We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

Daniel 4:2(NLT)- “I want you all to know about the miraculous signs and wonders the Most High God has performed for me.” Philippians 1:12(NIV) – “Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.”2 Timothy 1:8 (NIV) – So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.  Revelation 12:11 (NIV) – “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”
